Fave Kinky Books

I read a lot. Here are some other writers’ kinky or sexy books that I like. More will be coming over time.

Kinky Fiction

Dirty Filthy Rich Men, by Laurelin Page. The men aren’t the only dirty, dirty characters in this book. The main character struggles with her inner submissive, leading to some hot and surprisingly realistic take-downs.

9 1/2 Weeks, by Elizabeth McNeill. If you’re not already into dominance and/or submission, this might change that pronto. Also, the film did the book justice in capturing the erotic power, which, as we all know, is sadly not often the case. There’s a more recent version, but this one came out close to when I read it.

Story of O, by Pauline Réage. This turned me on before I even knew I was kinky. Total classic, hella hot,  and from what I understand, the author wrote it as a gift to her man. Lucky guy. This latest version may be different than the one I read [mmmrphmumble] years ago, but I bet it’s still worth a read.

The Marketplace Series, by Laura Antoniou. Disclosure: I modeled for the cover of the sixth booth in this series (seen here), but as you can see, my photos ended up on the cutting room floor. In any case, this series gets the reality details right without losing the fictional entertainment value of people being bought and sold. Engaging and instructive.

The (New and Improved) Loving Dominant, by John Warren and Libby Warren. If you want to be an abusive a**hole, don’t read this. If you want to develop a D/s (Dominant/submissive) relationship based on trust, knowledge, and good intentions, read this pronto.

Shibari You Can Use and More Shibari You Can Use, by Lee Harrington. I know Lee “in real life,” but that’s not why these are here. I love the diversity of the models and the philosophical parts in addition to the clearly and beautifully photographed bondage.

Wild Side Sex, by Midori. One of the first books I read while quickly plunging head-first into the kink world, and I’m glad I did. Bonus: The format is easy-to-digest essays.

Two Knotty Boys Showing You the Ropes and Back on the Ropes. Awesome starting points for beginning tyers who want to learn Western-style rope bondage (as opposed to Japanese-style shibari/kinbaku). And yes, Danarama (formerly one of the two Knotty Boys, with JD) is in my rope family and I adore him, but I’m not the only one who thinks these are awesome…there are hundreds of reviews on Amazon, and both books have earned a rating of 4 1/2 stars. Find the books on Amazon here and here. Learn more about Danarama here and about JD here.
